Design research and editorial project exploring the rise and fall of '90s grunge graphic design.
Researched, written, and designed over the course of my final year of design school, Deconstructing Deconstructivism aims to pull back the curtain on one of graphic design's most artistic movements.
After developing a deep understanding of this design style, I related it to current design trends, critiqued modern design culture, and theorized how grunge could come back into the design spotlight 30 years later.
