INFORMATION

Representing 35 students with one brand was a daunting task.

INFORMATION is a brand created for the University of Utah’s graphic design student capstone exhibition, expressing the creativity, individuality, and collective personality of the graduating students.

The branding represents the students’ diverse final projects, the shared framework of the university program, and the unification of the cohort through the exhibition itself.

The name plays off of the word “information” itself, along with the words “inform” and “form” found within. They represent the purpose of graphic design, what our cohort learned during our time at the university, and the visuals we created for the identity.

Each member of the class was provided a blank 4x4 grid and asked to represent themselves, their experiences, and/or their capstone projects through a single form.

These forms were overlaid, a visual interpretation of both the collective class and the individual students.

This project was done in collaboration with classmates Peyt Lindsey, Lydia Barnum, and Sydney Myers, along with guidance from instructor Zak Jensen.
